Celebrity Real Estate Deals

Here are some of the more famous real estate property sales of the past year. Some former couples, like Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston made wise decisions and ended up with a nice profit when they sold their property.

  • Christina Aguilera: She paid $11.5 million to buy Ozzie Osbourne's West Hollywood home.
  • Dennis Richards: Her 6 bedroom, 7,400 square foot home can be purchased for a mere $4.5 million dollars.
  • Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston: They sold their house for $22.5 million. Though they didn’t get the full asking price of $28 million, they still managed to make a tidy profit since they originally paid $13.5 million in 2001.
  • Martin Scorcese: Selling his Upper East Side Townhouse is on the market. The director is hoping to fetch $6.6 million.
  • Naomi Campbell’s Condo for Sale: Upper East Side housekeepers are breathing a sigh of relief as Naomi Campbell’s Park Avenue Condo is put on the market. The 6 room, 3,100 square foot apartment is on sale for $5.25 million.
  • Pete Sampras: Listed his 6-bedroom Beverly Hills home for $25 million. The home boasts a north/south tennis court, natch, a putting green, children's play areas, and a lovely oval shaped heated swimming pool.
  • Scarlett Johansson: Sold her Tribeca loft for nearly $1.9 million.
  • Bono: Sold his Central Park West apartment for $4.9 million.
  • Carol Burnett: Sold her apartment in the Trump International condo tower for nearly $5.6 million.
  • Sting: Bought his condo for $26.5 million.
  • Madonna: Bought a $7 million apartment in Harperley Hall, a co-op building on Central Park West.
  • Jennifer Connelly & Paul Bettany: Selling their Brooklyn mansion for $8.5 million and buying a $7 million property.

Madonna, always savvy with her image and brand, is also quite wise with her real estate investments - now she owns six investment properties in and around London.

Madonna only occupies one of her London homes--the others are purely investments. In the summer of 2007, she and Ritchie bought their sixth property: a $12 million, 10-bedroom Georgian townhouse in the posh Marylebone neighborhood, a mostly residential area with a Middle Eastern feel (shisha cafés and hookah shops line one of its main streets, Edgeware Road).
